We’re looking for a number of Neighbourhood Organisers to work with us on next year’s Festival from North Manchester, Gorton, Wythenshawe, Rochdale, Salford and Tameside. This opportunity is all about championing MIF and The Factory, whilst shining a light on the amazing things happening in your local community.
You’ll be passionate about the difference arts and culture can make in your neighbourhood, and creating links with a diverse range of people that could benefit from our opportunities.
You don’t need to have worked in the arts before, we’re looking for people who are good communicators, enthusiastic and able to work independently.

As a Freelance Neighbourhood Organiser you will work closely with members of MIF’s Creative Engagement team to:
Build relationships with individuals, organisations and communities in your local area in creative ways both in person and online
Recruit a diverse range of volunteers to help us deliver MIF21
Distribute free tickets to people that are new to the Festival
Host regular meet ups in your area to hear to what’s going on
Keep your community updated on The Factory and its opportunities
Recommend local artists and events that you think we should know about
Facilitate an exchange of knowledge about your community, highlighting what issues are affecting people

You must be eligible to work in the UK and resident in one of the priority areas of North Manchester, Gorton, Wythenshawe, Rochdale, Salford or Tameside.
This freelance contract will run from January until September 2021 starting at around 2 days a month and building up to 3 days a week during the Festival. The fee for the contract is £5,000.
