Marketing Freelancer brief

We’re looking for a marketing professional to work with the Audiences Team at Manchester International Festival (MIF). We are particularly looking for people with experience of producing marketing campaigns to develop low engaged audiences.

MIF invites great artists from across the globe to create extraordinary new work for the Festival, which is staged every two years at venues and found spaces across Manchester. Our future home is The Factory, a world-class cultural space being built in the heart of the city, where we’ll present a year-round programme and artists will be able to develop work of huge ambition and scale that they might not be able to anywhere else.

This role will:

• Develop and implement a marketing campaign for a new Young Persons Scheme
• Develop a marketing campaign that ensures access is at the forefront of all our marketing output, in particularly, but not limited to, deaf and visually impaired audiences
• Develop and implement a marketing campaign for the £10 ticket scheme that is aimed at GM residents on a lower wage, ensuring we reach low engaged audiences in key target areas
• To work collaboratively with the Skills and Training Team to ensure The Factory Academy and all related output is communicated effectively
• To work closely with the Senior Editorial Manager and Social Media Manager to develop and deliver rich engaging digital content to accompany the marketing campaigns
• To work closely with the Web Manager to ensure web pages are relevant and up to date
• To brief the Design Team and Publications Editor to create compelling campaigns to attract the target audience
• To maintain the MIF brand and house style across all marketing channels both on and offline, and ensure that all standard information is accurate and up-to-date

If you’re interested in being part of MIF and The Factory please email a cover letter and CV to recruitment@mif.co.uk The covering letter (no more than two sides of A4) should tell us:
1. why you are interested in working with MIF
2. what skills and experience you are able to contribute
3. your availability from now until end July 2021

Closing Date – 16 April 2021
