MIF is recruiting for a number of roles to strengthen vital expertise in specific areas. This is to enable the company to successfully deliver a growing year-round programme of activity, as well as the Festival, which next takes place in July 2021. We are also planning for The Factory, the nationally important cultural space, which will be our permanent home. We are working to ensure we are equipped to deliver on The Factory’s promise to bring extraordinary art to the city and to create opportunities for artists and communities across Greater Manchester, including jobs and training. This is investment for the long term and we particularly encourage people living in the region, especially from under-represented groups, to apply.
Festival Square is the home of MIF in the heart of the city. For 18 days it is the hub of activity for audiences and artists, staff and sponsors, partners and passers-by. During MIF19 we welcomed over 165,000 people to Festival Square; it is an open space where everyone is welcome, with a free programme of live music and performances, great food and drink, and special event spaces.
This role will lead the planning and build of Festival Square, ensuring the site works practically and commercially. To manage the running of the site during the Festival.
