We’re looking for Freelance Designers and Artworkers specialising in graphic, digital and motion design and to work with us at Manchester International Festival (MIF).
MIF invites great artists from across the globe to create extraordinary new work for the Festival, which is staged every two years at venues and found spaces across Manchester. Our future home is The Factory, a world-class cultural space being built in the heart of the city, where we’ll present a year-round programme and artists will be able to develop work of huge ambition and scale that they might not be able to anywhere else.
We want to bring together a talented pool of people to support the work we’re doing now and to help us prepare for The Factory, reaching out into every corner of Manchester and harnessing the talent and energy that is found across the city and beyond.
At MIF we work hard to deliver an internationally important creative and cultural programme, which takes dedication but is incredibly rewarding, so we need committed and passionate people to join our team.
Working under the direction of the studio’s Head of Design, join the internal design team delivering the design and production for the 2021 Manchester International Festival (MIF) and The Factory.
If you’re interested in being part of MIF and The Factory please email a cover letter, CV and portfolio to firstname.lastname@example.org. The covering letter (no more than two sides of A4) should tell us
1.the area(s) you are interested in working in Graphic Design, Digital Design, Motion Design, Artwork and Production.
2.why you are interested in working with MIF
3.What skills and experience you are able to contribute
We also ask that you complete our online Equal Opportunities Monitoring form – here. This information will inform us as we continue to build diversity and opportunity into everything we do.
We look forward to hearing from you, but if you have any questions or want to have a chat about the roles that are coming up, please get in touch at email@example.com
These roles are offered on a freelance basis reporting to Head of Design.
We match the right people to the right projects, which means your start date and contract length will depend on the projects you work on, the needs of the Design team at the time and peaks and troughs of MIF21. Day Rates are negotiable and will vary dependent on work.
